Tentative Events Schedule

October 18, 2008, 10am Barnes & Noble Bowling Green Educator's Reception for teachers using To Kill a Mockingbird in their curriculum. Refreshments and door prizes, including drawing for a set of books.
January 19, 2009 (MLK Holiday) Barnes & Noble Free copies of To Kill a Mockingbird distributed. Community members will read aloud from the book throughout the day.
January 20, 2009 Kick-Off at WKU Libraries. Free copies of the book distributed.
January 21, 2009 Kick-Off at Bowling Green Technical College. Copies of the book will be raffled off.
January 22, 2009 Kick-Off at Warren County Public Library Main Branch. Free copies of the book distributed.
February 2009 To Kill a Mockingbird at Great Escape Theaters. School field trips possible to see the film starring Gregory Peck and Mary Badham.
February 2009 To Kill a Mockingbird at Great Escape Theaters, starring Gregory Peck and Mary Badham, will be shown free to the public.
February 10, 2009 Capitol Arts Theatre Actress Mary Badham, who played Scout in the original movie with Gregory Peck, will give an evening presentation.
February 10-11, 2009 Actress Mary Badham will give presentations at local schools.
February 19, 2009 at Warren County Public Library Main Branch, author Kim Powers of the novel, Capote in Kansas: A Ghost Story, will give a presentation.
February 24, 2009 WKU Mass Media & Technology Hall Presentation by Charles Shields, author of Mockingbird, the biography of Harper Lee, and I Am Scout, a book about Harper Lee for younger readers.
February 24-25, 2009 Author Charles Shields will give presentations at local schools.
