The Southern Kentucky Festival of Books is made possible by over 100 volunteers who are currently
contributing their invaluable time and talent on the following committees:
Activities for Adults Committee
Working closely with Author Selection Committee, plans activities to complement
the book signings.
Author Selection Committee
Working closely with representatives of Barnes & Noble Booksellers, develops a list of authors to be invited
to the Book Festival and assists in contacting them.
Book Management Committee
Helps arrange book transportation and assists in book sales.
Children's Activities Committee
Develops a list of activities for children to participate in prior to and during the Festival.
Finance Committee
With University Libraries' Accounts Manager, gives direction to fiscal-related concerns.
Fundraising Committee
Helps University Libraries' Development Director meet fundraising goals.
Hospitality Committee
Serves as event greeters and hosts/hostesses. Also helps with pre-festival events.
Helps determine the layout of the Book Festival and ensures that operations run smoothly.
Marketing/Promotions Committee
Develops a broad scheme of promotional activities for the Festival and disseminates
information about the event. Its subcommittee, Festival's
Web Planners, has developed this web site with the assistance of PremierNet.
Transportation Committee
Arranges transportation to and from airport and within the city.
